This past two weeks has been packed with sleepless nights and lots of coffee. My collaborative projects class is coming too an end and we have made some great work. We worked with film Columbus this semester to create an incentive video for filmmakers from LA to come shoot in Columbus. We shot many locations with many early mornings starting at 5am to finally come to this piece we have now. We still need a few more graphics added in the morning but the project is finally coming to an end.
Here is a link to the video, if you would like to see it please email me.
The semester has been long and filled with miscommunication but I think that is an important lesson I have learned this semester. As a team we could not succeed until we communicated together to create this great piece.
These past two weeks I have been using dynamic linking for the first time in a professional setting for a client and I find it extremely useful. I could take the work my class mates were giving to me in Premier Pro to add on top of my edit while editing there original after effects graphics. I believe this was the point of the class, to combine animation with video and though it was many hours I really enjoyed being able to edit video with animation.
Thank you, Film Columbus and, thank you Carol Delgrosso
I have just cut the final edit and am in the process of color editing and working with stabilizers on two shots. I am excited to work with Lorenzo and the animation team on Monday and start incorporating their work with mine.
I have finished a final edit after the suggestions given on monday. Annie, Justin, and I are working on a way to work the audio into the section where it drops off. I am working to get all the files that need color correction into a folder for Niko, Justin and I. I’m excited to start implementing the graphics into the final edit and start working with the animation team.
These are the images and times. I am currently trying to get the drive to create a folder with the RAW files for these scenes.
I have had the challenge of tackling five major projects this semester and it is getting to crunch time. I have close to three complete while still finishing a logo design, Demo reel, and a location piece for collaborative projects class. The final edit for the Collaborative projects piece is almost there with a few more tweeks to completion.
I find a great peace in myself when I create projects without having a goal in mind and rather letting the artwork find me. I am generally a happy outgoing person but we all have hardships to deal with no matter who we are. I used photography this weekend as a form of meditation and reflection. I would like to continue this photography habit for the next thirty days to help my work and myself.
What better to do then grab some friends a hackysack and a camera on a warm day? Nothing!
We were playing around and I was attempting to get some interesting shots of them. I learned you need to set up a shot where motion is going to happen rather than trying to follow it because it is almost impossible.
